To cater for the influx of new anglers taking up the sport following the COVID-19 pandemic and the urge to make the most of the great outdoors, Hungarian fishing tackle manufacturer and wholesaler Energofish has come up with a solution to make life simpler for those newcomers.
To ensure that they hit the ground running and do not have to get bogged down with the time-consuming and sometimes complicated process of setting up rigs and mixing bait before hitting the water, the Budapest-based company has introduced a range of ready-made products.
Energofish Product Manager Sujkó Sándor told Angling International: “The COVID-19 lockdown has attracted more people to take up the sport and also persuaded many lapsed anglers to return. Fishing methods are developing all the time and keeping up to date with it all can be difficult for everyone.
“Getting ‘how-to’ information from tackle shops is not always the answer as many are too busy to set much time aside to help. There is plenty of advice on the internet, but to understand it does involve a certain skill-set.”
Sándor added that its ready-made baits are all made from the best components recommended for each specific method of fishing and have been designed by top anglers and individually tested by the Energofish team.
“They are all extremely efficient and can be used with almost no prior knowledge. It is all about making life as easy as possible for the angler.
“There is no need to do anything other than to open the packaging and get on with fishing.”

Ready Method Rig
Feeder rig with a bait pin, it uses high quality Teflon-coated braid, Japanese hooks and a durable, flat method feeder.
Ready Method Long Cast Rig
Similar to the Method Rig, except that the feeder is equipped with an anti-tangle tube.
Ready Long Cast XL Feeder Rig
Designed for carp fishing, it includes a large
volume open wire feeder.
Ready Method Bombs
Based on the success of the PVA Bombs, the Method Bombs are made with all the best ingredients available for method groundbaits.
Ready Pre-Wet Groundbaits
Based on the most popular method groundbait, Pre-Wet is ready for immediate use. No additional liquids are needed and it can be loaded into any type of feeder.
Rapid Pellet Mix
Available in a practical box, these micro-pellets for carp fishing come with a pack of groundbait and particle pasta. By mixing the two components, you get a ready-to-use attractive groundbait and pellet mix with particles.
